A dinner with your sweetheart on February 14 doesn’t always have to be at a restaurant.
Chef Liana Robberecht, from The Calgary Petroleum, has come up with an easy meal you can make at home.
At the heart of the menu a classic dish from the home of romance, France. It’s her version of Beef Bourguignon. “It’s something you can do even the day before,”says Robberecht. “Then what you can do is make little phyllo tarts or even buy those little tartlettes and put it in those and bake it.”
Serve it with a shrimp, fennel and poached apple salad, and to finish, a seductive chocolate beet cake with vanilla cream cheese icing.
