Lake Louise Ski Resort says they’ve had to make some temporary closures of runs recently, after a female lynx and her kitten were spotted in the area.
Parks officials say the pair was first spotted in mid-January on Highway 1A, and there have been four or five sightings in the past week.
Parks Canada says it’s unusual to have so many sightings of the elusive animals.
Wildlife experts tell The Calgary Herald, it’s a peak year for the lynx and they’re not surprised that sightings are on the rise.
