A discovery in a city landfill in Medicine Hat is renewing rat infestation fears.
Rat patrollers wiped out 150 of the furry critters back in September, after a massive infestation in the area, but residents now fear the program was shut down too soon.
One resident says her daughter’s cat dragged home a massive Norway rat last week.
Officials tell The Calgary Herald, the find is likely a straggler from last fall and they’ve developed a plan to deal with future rat problems.
