Calgary police have laid murder charges in relation to Calgary’s fourth homicide of 2013.
First responders were called to an S-U-V in the 100 block of 28th Avenue just before 10 o’clock on Monday morning.
Inside they found the body of 42-year-old Duane Gordon Laybourne of Calgary who was shot to death.
The discovery was made twelve hours after reports of gunshots from a nearby home.
Investigators say the 42-year-old was injured after a fight broke out in the basement suite of the home police were called to Sunday night.
24-year-old Christopher Michael Burr has been charged with one count of second degree murder.
Police are still trying to find other people who were in the area at the time and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers anonymously using any of the following methods:
