Officer disciplined after video taped street racing

An officer caught on tape racing to a Tim Horton’s has been disciplined.
The YouTube video shows three police cruisers, one un-marked, sitting at a red light. When the light turns green they race off to the coffee shop half a block away.
Calgary police spokesperson Kevin Brookwell says the officer came forward and his commander spoke to him and the others involved.
“And the matter was resolved through the provisions that are set up in the Alberta Police Act for dealing with disciplinary matters so the matter is done now and we are finished with it,” said Brookwell.
Brookwell can not say what discipline was handed down but it could range from verbal counselling up to dismissal.
