Canada rebounds to beat Slovakia 6-3 at world juniors

Trailing by two goals in the second period, Canada came from behind to beat Slovakia 6-3 at the World Junior Hockey Championship Friday.

Forward Ryan Strome scored a pair of goals while defenceman Morgan Reilly had a goal and assist for Canada.

Ty Rattie, Mark Schiefele and captain Ryan Nugent-Hopkins also scored.

Defenceman Xavier Ouellet assisted on two of Canada’s goals.

Anthony Camara laid a clean but devastating hit on a Slovak who had his head down and had to leave the ice on a stretcher.

Camara could be suspended.

It’s goalie Malcolm Subban’s second win of the tournament.

Canada outshot Slovakia 30 to 28.

The juniors now move on to the United States on Sunday and they may have to do so with only 10 forwards.

Two were slapped with game misconducts and Boone Jenner was serving the second of a three-game suspension.
