B.C. murder suspect arrested in Okotoks

An Alberta man has been arrested, inside his Okotoks home, for first-degree murder in relation to an incident in British Columbia.

Joshua Tyler Bredo was picked up on a warrant Saturday.

He’s wanted in connection with the stabbing death of a 20 year old man on Vancouver Island back in August of 2011.

Okotoks RCMP Corporal Leanne Beattie tells The Calgary Sun Bredo’s arrest was the result of efforts by police here and in B.C.

“As far as I understand, it was without incident,” she says.

He’s been flown to Victoria to face charges and is due in court on Monday.
