He’s been accused of being anti-Semitic and now his propaganda machine is taking on the Wildrose province.

Joshua Blakeney’s latest report for Iran’s English TV station suggests Alberta is taking Aboriginal kids away from their parents at a high rate.

Previous stories penned by Blakeney include a piece that suggests Canada’s new $20 bill, featuring the Vimy Ridge memorial, promotes violence and reminds natives of colonial oppression.

Formerly of the United Kingdom, Blakeney received the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship to pursue research at the University of Lethbridge.

According to the National Post, he received $7,700 funded by the province of Alberta; some of his work includes a claim that the 9/11 terror attacks were a cover-up.

His latest story about children in Alberta is a three minute package; it features two women wearing crude face coverings who are portrayed to be native, although one has blue eyes and the other a foreign accent.

“It definitely is a money-making scheme because a lot of native children have been sold into adoption,” says one of the women.

“Some upset parents allege that there is a profit motive behind what they refer to as the kidnapping of their children by the so-called Child Protective Services,” Blakeney reports.  He never actually speaks with anyone from the agency in his story.

The reporter, who lives in Calgary, hasn’t responded to our request for an interview.

When 660News contacted his mother in France by phone, Sarah Farman said “I think you need to re-read my son’s article, and no comment.”

“The story is absolutely ridiculous,” says Kevin Zahara, a spokesman for Alberta’s Aboriginal Relations Minister. “There’s no basis for those comments.”

He says they were never contacted by Blakeney or by Press TV.

“If you’re going to make those accusations than you better have a basis for it,” he adds.

At this point, Zahara says the government has no plans to respond to the report.
