A new poll shows a decisive and growing majority of British Columbians oppose the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline Project.

The poll shows 60 per cent are opposed to the project, 31 per cent are in favour while 9 per cent are undecided.

That’s 8 per cent higher for those who oppose the project since an earlier poll in April and 14 per cent since a poll conducted in January.

Public opposition to the project appears to have grown despite a multi-million dollar ad campaign by Enbridge.

The poll shows 83 per cent who had seen the ads said it had either no effect or actually worsened their opinion of the project.
