There was a bit of confusion about Alberta’s budget surplus on Monday, after Tory party members received an email from the premier.
In the email, Alison Redford says the provincial government is working toward a balanced budget in 2014, contrary to her promise to have it balanced by next year.
But Redford says the date was wrong and she really meant the spring of next year.
The Calgary Herald reports the government continues to say there will be an operating surplus, and not an overall surplus, as it continues to borrow money for infrastructure projects.
