Christmas is less than two weeks away, but you don’t necessarily have to battle crowds in all of the city’s malls to find the best deals.

Tiffany Mealia of She’s So Savvy tells 660News the key is to do your homework, and one of the best ways to do that is to find a website or search engine that allows you to compare prices on various products in your area.

“You can actually put your item in and it will give you all the prices relative to where you live,” says Mealia. “So you can see exactly how much it’s going to cost at different retailers, and you can decide whether you want to order from that or whether you want to go out and shop from that.”

She also recommends couples buy gifts that they can enjoy together because a big part of the holiday season is sharing experiences.

“Like to going to the spa together, going to the theatre together,” says Mealia. “If you have a significant other, taking a weekend away from the kids at a hotel.  Those are some things that always really good and those you can purchase on daily deals sites.”

Mealia also recommends keeping tabs on those various daily deal websites which offer big savings on different products and services.

She says traditionally women are better shoppers than men, But thanks to technological advances that gap is shrinking.
