Calgarians will be seeing some new transport safeguards for Alberta livestock on our roads.
In Ponoka on Friday, a new fleet of state-of-the-art livestock emergency trailers were unveiled and will be deployed in key transport areas of the province.
In terms of operating these trailers, there’s a new training course being developed to support qualified workers which will be held at Lakeland College.
Back in May, a cattle-liner flipped and caught fire north of Calgary on the Q-E 2 during which some cattle were killed.
