Cochrane Mounties take break-in suspect into custody

The RCMP has arrested a man for a theft near Cochrane, in which photos of a Springbank couple’s late son were stolen.
Mounties say Christopher Thomsen turned himself in Thursday, when police surrounded his Calgary residence.
A laptop containing priceless photos of Gailene and Neil Bienert’s deceased son was recently returned to the Mackenzie Towne fire station after it was stolen in a break-in in October.
A number of other valuables were also taken.
The Calgary Sun reports police are still looking for Doug Weaver, who is a second suspect in the burglary.
