A Cochrane family who had special photos of their deceased son stolen, now have some relief.
On October 18th, their home was broken into and among the items stolen was a laptop containing pictures of their son, Matthew Bienert, who died in a plane crash in 2007.
A security system was able to snap some pictures of the intruders and after getting help from the public, police were led to an apartment in Calgary’s southeast.
30-year-old Christopher Cole Thomsen has been charged with numerous offences, including break and enter, and is expected in Calgary court on Friday and police are still looking for a second man.
The laptop was returned to the family earlier this week.
