More private owned Chinese companies are narrowing their gaze on Alberta’s oil patch.
Companies like Petrochina, China Petroleum, and Chemical Corp, already own a variety of oil operations in the province.
Now companies with no state-owned interests are meeting with industry executives in Alberta, hoping to piggyback on the success of state owned companies.
The Globe and Mail reports Rongsheng Petro Chemical Co. ltd. visited at the end of September, and other companies are planning to invest.
