The Harper government is under pressure from law enforcement to pass its controversial internet surveillance bill.

Bill C-30, also called the ‘lawful access bill,’ would allow authorities access to names, addresses, numbers, and e-mails without a warrant.

It’s not clear when C-30 will return to commons for six hours of required debate before committee reviews it.

The National Post reports, federal and provincial privacy commissioners are concerned about the bill being passed, and how easily available Canadians’ information would be.
