A Calgary man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend is fit to stand trial.

Kristopher “Tray” Guenther is charged with second degree murder in the death of 20-year-old Lacey Jones-McKnight.

She was found dead in a vehicle on October 25th and Guenther was hospitalized because of an apparent suicide attempt.

A court psychiatrist has found Guenther is mentally well enough to stand trial.

On October 31st, Guenther’s lawyer told The Calgary Sun he was worried about his client’s condition.

Guenther is reportedly in the process of getting new counsel.
