Alberta’s Wildrose is looking to tone down their ultra conservative party.
Wildrose leader Danielle Smith issued a plea Saturday, saying the party has no chance of winning unless they become more moderate.
The party grouped together for their first general assembly since losing the spring election and will continue to review their policies over the next year.
Smith tells The Globe and Mail, they have to look forward to what Alberta will be, not what it once was.
Smith says it will be a hard conversation for some members to engage in, but they need to express themselves in a way that won’t alienate Albertans.
