The enthusiasm faded quickly for Stampeder fans as the Toronto Argonauts defeated Calgary in the 100th Grey Cup.
Some were not very optimistic about the Stamps performance. “We didn’t show up at all, we lost, it was bad,” said Chris. Some fans like Jen didn’t feel as though the Argo fans properly appreciated their victory. “Toronto fans were leaving before their team even received the Grey Cup so it’s a little bit shocking, but in general Toronto is fun and we’re having a great time,” said Jen.
Some Stampeder fans were still upbeat about their favourite footbal franchise like Mirva.
“They worked real hard to be here, and I know it’s hard that they lost, but they’ll continue and maybe they’ll be in Regina next year,” said Mirva.
Both fans and western champs will head back to Calgary soon to focus on next season.
