The hunt continues for more evidence following a fatal shooting in the northeast community of Martindale.
Search crews from Calgary Police and the Calgary Search and Rescue Team scoured parts of the neighbourhood Saturday looking for anything that may help in the investigation, and track down two suspects believed responsible for the incident.
Shots rang out just before 11:00 Friday morning in the 100 block of Martinvalley Mews and when police arrived, they found one person dead, and another with serious injuries.
Duty Inspector Darren Leggatt tells 660News they are grateful for the added help.
“These trained civilian searchers are very good at their craft and have been a significant assistance to us in the past and they were able to assist us again today,” says Leggatt.
Leggatt says there’s no further information to pass on at this time in relation to the investigation which police call a targeted attack.
