There were no injuries after a three apartment blaze in the northwest Thursday night.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., crews responded to reports of smoke in a building in the 6200 block of Bowness Road.

Firefighters discovered smoke on the second and third floors and immediately evacuated the premises.

Residents were housed in a neighbouring business until a Calgary Transit bus arrived to provide shelter as crews scoured the building and extinguished the fire’s source.

Residents were allowed back into the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
