Calgary Police are readying murder charges in the death of a missing Calgary man after his skeletal remains were found.
24 year old Ryan Lane went missing February 7th and was last seen in the Country Hills Boulevard area.
Foul play was suspected from the start and several searches were conducted to locate him in rural areas.
There are three individuals – two men and one woman – who are being investigated by police in Lane’s death.
Sergeant Grant Miller says they are close to laying charges.
“We are in the process of putting together a first degree murder charge. We believe that his attack is a targeted attack, it’s not a random attack,” says Miller.
They are still missing pieces of the puzzle and investigators hope they can soon shed light on exactly what happened to Lane in what is now the 17th murder of the year.
His family is preparing to speak to the media Friday.
