U.S. agriculture producers are giving Canadians a chance to learn more about the food we eat.
40 producer groups have teamed up with Foreign Agricultural Services at the U.S. Embassy to launch a new website: www.tasteus.ca.
“If they cannot buy Canadian food at a given time, like in the dead of the winter, then they would prefer to buy in the dead of winter and we’d like to give them more information, so they’re happy with this choice,” says Scott Reynolds from the USDA.
$20-billion worth of what ends up on our supermarket shelves comes from south of the border.
