An all-night, marathon debate has wrapped up in the legislature in regards to the Responsible Energy Development Act.
Wildrose leader Danielle Smith tells 660News, her party fought the bill in hopes of addressing high power bills.
“We’re trying to work constructively with the government but they have made a decision that they want to get out of the legislature early and I think they’re trying to bully the opposition into passing bad legislation. We’re not going to do it,” she says.
Smith says late night sessions in the House have become common place under the Redford government.
Little progress was made and after four hours, the Bill and it’s amendments from the Wildrose were adjourned.
