The RCMP are helping to mark the National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims Wednesday.
The day is set aside to remember those killed or seriously injured on Canada’s roads, and to think about how to prevent those kinds of tragedies in the future.
Nearly 2,800 Canadians are killed each year on Canada’s roads and highways; nearly 200,000 more are injured.
Mounties want to remind everyone to stay safe on the road — by wearing a seatbelt, driving alert, and obeying posted speed limits.
