The death toll on Highway 63 to Fort McMurray has risen by two in a span of just a few hours following two separate rollover crashes on the stretch of road, Saturday.

The first crash, just before noon, killed a 68 year old man just north of Wandering River.

RCMP say he was not wearing a seatbelt.

In the second crash, a vehicle rolled and caught fire near Newbrook around 2-pm.

The passenger died at the scene.

Police expected to lay drunk driving charges against the 20 year-old driver.

More than 150 people have been killed on the highway since 1990.
