Calgary Centre federal byelection candidates will host their second public forum this weekend.
Sunday’s discussion will focus on municipal issues and will be hosted by Mayor Naheed Nenshi.
All four party candidates were under the same roof on Saturday for the first time during the campaign, fielding questions from about 100 people who attended the forum in Inglewood.
However, the Mayor has expressed disappointment with Conservative candidate Joan Crockatt’s decision to continue pounding the pavement, instead of attending the event entitled Cities Matter.
The Calgary Sun reports Crockatt says she’s just too busy, while noting the mayor will have his own agenda during the event.
Liberal hopeful Harvey Locke remains optimistic pointing to a poll that places himself five points back of the Tory favourite.
Saturday, NDP Dan Meades called in the big guns to help with his ground game.
The only Alberta MP who’s not a Conservative Linda Duncan enthusiastically answered that call helping with Meade’s ground attack.
Calgary Centre residents head to the polls November 26th.
