Macleod Trail traffic change

Not all traffic changes in Calgary have to be complicated and expensive.
A pilot project is underway on Macleod Trail restricting turning lanes.
Lights stay green going north and south, and drivers are only allowed to make right-hand turns.
In the first week it’s apparently made a big difference.
Mayor Naheed Nenshi tells The Calgary Herald he’s had lots of positive feedback on the traffic change.
Congested roads could benefit, especially in light of the controversial billion-dollar plan to expand Crowchild Trail.
