You can head just south of Calgary to get into the festive spirit Friday night.

The annual Light Up Okotoks event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and runs until 8:30 p.m. throughout downtown.

There will be live performances, ice sculptures, a petting zoo, cookie decorating, fire pits and horse drawn wagon rides.

They’ll also be lighting the community Christmas tree and Santa is scheduled to make an appearance.

You can even support the food bank; the 18 Wheels of Christmas is back, donations can be made at 1 McRae St.
