The American Petroleum Institute has renewed it’s call for U.S. President Barack Obama to approve, as quickly as possible, the Keystone X.L. Pipeline.

Executive Vice President, Martin Durbin, says the $7-billion project, which would boost oilsands bitumen shipments to the Gulf Coast, is exactly what the American economy needs right now.

It would create much needed jobs as well as government revenue.

Durbin says exit polls following the U.S. presidential vote, show a majority of Americans, 75 per cent, support Keystone X.L.
