SPARWOOD, B.C. – Police in southeast B.C. have issued an Amber Alert for a three-year-old boy they believe has been abducted by his father.
The RCMP say they are looking for Alvin Barnett, who is believed to be with his father, 39-year-old Robert Barnett.
The boy was abducted in the Elk Valley area near Sparwood and the alert has also been extended for Alberta and Montana.
Police say the pair are travelling in a 2002 blue Subaru Outback with B.C. license 347 SBL and confirm the vehicle has now entered the U.S.
Alvin is wearing a red shirt and blue jeans, while his father is described as unshaven, with reddish blonde hair and a scar over his right eyebrow.
RCMP added they believe the boy is in “imminent danger.”
Police say anyone seeing the pair should not approach them, but should call 911.
