A Calgary man has been charged after an altercation left a man with stab wounds over the weekend.
Police were called to a wedding at the Marlborough Park Community Centre late Saturday night upon reports of an altercation.
When they arrived, a man was suffering from minor knife wounds with witnesses telling police he was stabbed while trying to remove an unwanted guest from the celebration.
Jose Omar Flores-Mejia, 47, is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
The suspect had originally fled the scene, but was arrested a short time later at a nearby residence.
