A body was pulled from the Bow River near downtown Monday morning.
EMS spokesperson Stuart Brideaux says the body was spotted floating in the river by a motorist and jogger near Memorial Drive and Edmonton NE.
The call came in around 10 a.m. and fire crews had to use a boat to retrieve the body.
The investigation closed a lane of eastbound Memorial Drive just past 10th Street NW.
The woman is believed to be in her late 30′s or early 40′s.
Police are taking over the investigation, to determine if her death is suspicious.
