A poll says one third of Canadians admit their financial plan relies on the hope of winning the lottery or inheriting a large amount of money.
The survey commissioned by Credit Canada Debt Solutions and Capital One says two thirds of Canadians have also felt anxious or lost sleep thinking about money.
CEO of Credit Canada Debt Solutions, Laurie Campbell, tells the Calgary Herald it’s troubling so many Canadians are putting trust in winning the lottery, instead of responsible financial planning.
She says Canadian household debt is at an all time high, and many have not saved enough for retirement.
