A Calgary courtroom is continuing to look into whether a man convicted of torturing his former roommate deserves a ‘dangerous offender’ designation.
Dustin Paxton will make a brief appearance in court Wednesday.
Paxton was convicted of aggravated and sexual assault earlier this year.
His sentencing has been delayed in order to complete a psychiatric report.
The Edmonton Journal reports the crown prosecutor will decide whether to continue pushing for the dangerous offender label, or move directly to sentencing at Paxton’s next court date on Friday.
