A new facility aimed at giving high school students a boost in their grades has officially opened at the Bowness Boys and Girls Club in the northwest.
The ‘Rogers Raising the Grade’ Tech Centre will be used in an after-school program aimed at getting kids help with their homework and plan for future education.
Vice President of Consumer Sales for Rogers Darrell Graham says not all kids have easy access to resources that will help them succeed.
“At the end of the day, the objective here is to make a difference in our community with our kids.” he says, “When you can see change in them and see them developing and can be a small part of that…we’re very proud.”
The program will start out with 15 students but they want to double that number each year.
