A star studded line-up descended on the Saddledome in Calgary Wednesday in hopes of inspiring Alberta’s young people.

It was the first “We Day Alberta” organized by the charity, Free the Children and over 18,000 students from all over the province attended.

Among the celebrities in attendance was special guest Paralympian Rick Hansen, musicians Hedley, actor Martin Sheen, and award winning American journalist Larry King.

“The only thing I can leave with is the satisfaction that they received me and embraced my thoughts and were deeply grateful for it, ” said Sheen.
