Plenty of celebrities will be on hand at the BMO Centre on the Stampede Grounds for the Calgary Woman’s Show this weekend.

“We’ve got Shannon Tweed-Simmons,” says show organizer Cindy Marks referring to the co-star of “Gene Simmons Family Jewels.” “Lisa Oz, Young & The Restless’ Brighton James, Rex Smith and appearing at Stage West we also have William Moses and he’s in their production, Sexy Laundry,” she adds.

Tweed-Simmons is appearing at the show Sunday afternoon at 1:15.  Lisa Oz and friends will take the podium at the BMO Centre Saturday afternoon at 2:45.

“Accompanying Lisa Oz we also have Alicia Haywood from Harpo Productions,” says Marks referring to Oprah Winfrey’s radio network, a division of Harpo Productions. “She’s a producer there and also Allison Tannis, a nutrionist.  So Lisa, Alisha and Alison will be presenting on Saturday.”

It’s not just women that attend the show.  Marks says each year they see an increase in the number of men coming through the gates.

“I mean Shannon Tweed-Simmons may attract an audience that’s male and female,” says Marks about the former Playboy Playmate. “We also have men that watch The Young & The Restless.  And Lisa Oz is really about health and relationships.  So you just never know.  Each show we see more and more men.”

Besides celebrities and guest speakers, the show features a number of exhibitors appealing to the lifestyles of women young and old.

Tickets are $14 and are available in advance at www.calgarywomansshow.com.
