With the snow this weekend and more white stuff on the way over the next several days, along with the freezing temperatures, we’re having to switch gears back into winter driving mode.

The main roads are in good condition but there are some pretty slippery conditions on the side streets.

Calgary police Duty Inspector Patty McCallum tells 660News, there were more than 70 collisions since noon on Saturday, just after the snow started to fall and the temperatures dipped below freezing.

She reminds drivers to get their winter tires on if they haven’t already.
