There are reports that at least seven people have been injured in a mass-shooting at or outside a spa near the Brookfield Square Mall in Wisconsin.

Police and SWAT teams are on the scene but few details are currently available as to the circumstances.

There has been no official confirmation on how many people in total were shot or if the shooter is still on the loose.

Hospital officials confirm four people have been treated at a local trauma centre for non-critical injuries, while another three patients are believed to be on their way.

Reports indicate the shooting may have occurred at or near the Azana Spa, located near the mall.
