Alberta’s tourism industry is celebrating a successful summer.

Travel Alberta says it’s seen healthy increases in hospitality, museums, events, festivals and border and airport traffic.

Officials say they plan to continue attracting tourists to the province from around the globe.

President of the Alberta Hotel and Lodging Association Dave Kaiser is happy to see the province back on track after an economic recession.

Travel Alberta will be meeting with industry members from 14 different communities throughout the province at the end of the month to plan their next strategies.
