Calgary Police were called to a pair of unrelated stabbings within half an hour of each other early Sunday morning in the downtown southwest quadrant.
Duty Inspector Patty McCallum says within a few blocks for police, it was a particularly busy time.
“One male was stabbed in an incident in an altercation around 2:38″ (a.m.), McCallum tells 660News. “The second altercation happened around 3:08″ (a.m.). “One was in the 600 block of” (First) “Street Southwest, and the second was around the area of 10th Street and 11th Avenue Southwest.”
Although an update on the victims’ conditions, and the types of injuries they sustained, wasn’t available, police say neither incident was life-threatening.
