People can have some fun with pumpkins this weekend in support of a good cause.

The 9th annual Pumpkin Fest will be hosted by Blue Grass Nursery Saturday at their location just north of the city in Balzac.

The public can bring their families to take part in pumpkin carving, hay rides, face painting and a big pumpkin drop happening at the end of the day.

The event has raised over $100,000 in the past five years, with proceeds going to the Alberta Children’s Hospital.

It starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m.
