The City of Calgary is putting $17.1 million into a new Civic Partner Grant Program that will be used for city programs, facilities and services.

“The City partners with not-for-profit organizations for the common goal of providing recreation, entertainment, arts and culture, heritage and history, and educational opportunities, things that contribute to making a great city,” says Alderman Gian-Carlo Carra.

Six partners have received some city dollars:

The Calgary Zoo: $2.186 Million
Heritage Park: $1.801 Million
EPCOR Centre: $813,000
Calgary TELUS Convention Centre: $260,000
Fort Calgary: $135,000
Talisman Centre: $131,000
