A man is in life-threatening condition after being hit by a vehicle in the city’s southwest Tuesday night.
Police say the incident happened around 7 p.m. at Elbow Drive and 75th Avenue.
Duty Inspector Mike Tillotson tells 660News they do not expect charges to be laid.
Tillotson says, “alcohol or speed, we don’t believe are factors, but the setting sun in the driver’s eyes as she was making the turn may have been a factor.”
He adds, crews had originally thought the accident was minor but once in hospital the man’s condition was downgraded to life-threatening.
