Details about whether or not Calgary will see another purple crush in the next civic election remain few and far between.

Mayor Naheed Nenshi continues to be coy about whether or not he’ll run again for Calgary’s top job, and adds he’s still considering his options.

Mount Royal political scientist Duane Bratt tells The Calgary Herald he believes Nenshi will seek re-election because many of his goals can’t be achieved in one term.

Nenshi has ruled out speculation about taking a run at the federal Liberal leadership.    

Calgarians go to the polls in October of 2013.
