An investigation into the theft of a large amount of copper wire uncovers a huge stash of other stolen items.

The investigation began in August and Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, police executed a search warrant on a property five kilometres northeast of Calgary where officers seized at least $100,000 worth of property, much of which was stolen.

Along with 200 pounds of copper wire, police recovered weapons, trucks, along with a number various pieces of machinery and electronics.

Rocco Amoruso, 56, from Rocky View County has been arrested and charges are pending.
