The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has added another 24 items to the ever expanding recall list of items processed at the XL Foods’ plant in Brooks.
Sunday’s recall includes ready-to-eat, and raw products sold in the province of B.C.
The list is over 2000-items long and covers products sold in stores across the country.
So far, there have been ten confirmed cases of E. coli contracted from the beef processed at the Brooks plant; seven in Alberta, two in Quebec, and one in Newfoundland.
The CFIA is advising consumers who are unsure if they have affected beef in their home, to check with the store where the product was purchased or throw it out.
