A 20-year-old man is in critical condition following a motorcycle crash in the northwest community of Panorama Hills.

The crash happened around 10pm Saturday evening.

Duty Inspector Paul Stacey tells 660News the crash left a big mess.

“He was going north on Panorama Hills Blvd at a high rate of speed and he did negotiate a bend in the road. He hit a curb, he and the bike went tumbling for about 50 metres, left a large debris field on the roadway and they both came to rest when they struck a pedestrian crossing sign,” Stacey says.

He adds the man is suffering from multiple internal injuries.

Investigators determined speed was a factor but alcohol was not.

No word if charges will be laid at this time.
