A Calgary artist has nearly completed painting a cube he’s been locked in for three days.
Daniel J. Kirk’s art project on Stephen Ave., a giant cube made of plywood and clear plastic, has been on display since Monday.
Kirk is living on water and has only a sleeping bag, a portable septic system, a video camera, lamp and the clothes on his back.
The Calgary Herald reports passersby are able to leave notes in a drop box on the side.
The event is all Art of Calgary 2012 a program that aims to raise awareness of culture in the city.
When the project is complete on Friday, the public will be invited inside to view Kirk’s work.
